Itinerary
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met by Hallmark Travel Planner’ escort and transfer to EKA Hotel in Nairobi. Tamarind Tree Hotel Nairobi offers amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center. The property provides pool views, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk. The rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Every room has a private bathroom with a shower. Guest rooms feature a desk. Hotel offers a continental or buffet breakfast. There is an on-site restaurant, which serves local and African cuisine and also offers vegetarian options.
Pick up from your hotel or place of stay at 8.00 a.m and after a brief stop-over at our offices, for briefing purposes, depart for a journey south along the floor of the Great Rift Valley with a pit stop at the View Point for breath taking view of the rift valley. You can take photos and buy souvenirs as you listen to African tales about the formation of the rift valley.Arrive at Masai Mara in the late afternoon and enjoy a game drive till twilight. After breakfast full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents, The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes.Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. later Meals and overnight at Mara Engai Camp.
Early morning breakfast at your camp and check out with packed lunch from your camp. A 3 hour drive to Isebania Tanzania border. You arrive at around 10:45am at the border. Processing of Visa and crossing to Tanzania will take 45 minutes or more, and afterwards proceed to Serengeti. A 3-hour drive to the Main gate into northern Serentgeti. You will be with our Tanzania driver guide. On arrival, game en-route drive in Serengeti while heading to your lodge – Mbalageti Lodge
Early morning breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast check out with packed lunch with full day game drive. Serengeti without a doubt is the finest national park in the whole of Tanzania. All year round large herds of buffaloes, smaller herds of elephant plus giraffes, in addition to millions of antelopes including elands, topi, impalas, kongoni as well as the Grant’s gazelles. If you are lucky, you will easily see the 3 big cats. Lions can as well be seen often enjoying a kill or resting. Also in the southeastern plains you will be able to regularly see Cheetahs if you are lucky, whereas leopards may be seen resting in the giant trees on the banks of River. After game drive, dinner and overnight at Mbalageti Lodge.
After breakfast commence drive back into Kenya via Isebania border point once again. Picnic lunch boxes on the way. Afternoon proceed to Lake Nakuru for an afternoon game drive that runs till sunset. The Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the top tourist destinations in Africa, famed for the Flamingos, both lesser and greater, that flock to its shores to feed on the cyanobacteria that live in its alkaline waters. It is a very important breeding ground and stop over for many species of birds, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At some times of the year, there can be between one and two million flamingos forming a big pink band around the edge of the Lake. The Park is home to one of the greatest concentrations of Black Rhino in the World, and also has a thriving population of White Rhino. It is also a sanctuary for the rare Rothschild Giraffe and is also one of the best places in Kenya to see Leopards. Just before sunset, check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight – Flamingo Hill Tented Lodge.
After breakfast at the camp, take another game drive in Lake Nakuru National park before returning to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, check out and embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the late afternoon, you will be dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for scheduled International departure flight.
